Hello Hooray!
2008-01-03
Happy new year everyone! 2008 is here and it's time to start writing on blank pages ones again. Tomorrow I'll go down to Groningen, Holland, and participate in a cool thing called the Frisian Writer's Week. It's sort of a songwriter workshop slash musical exchange between 3 swedish and 3 dutch writers, where we will stay on this nice boat for a week - which will be filled with instruments and studio equipment along with a team of producers. The whole thing will be very interesting.
Carina and the rest of the band will come down to Groningen as Moonbabies will do a concert at the Eurosonic, Nooderslag Weekend on January 11 2008. >More info
The show will be filmed by the legendary German TV Show Rockpalast, and will be part of a documentary. And oh... You should stay updated, because there may also be a chance that the gig will be streamed online by a Dutch Film team as well. Try to keep you posted on that.
Anyho, Take Care all. Love / Ola

Thank you all for a great tour!

Hey hey! Moonbabies fall tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland is over and we're back home with lots of inspiration and great memories. Just two weeks before the tour we got in touch with the drummer Per Nordborg, who did an amazing job rehearsing with us and learning our entire set. We were amazed how quickly he became the backbone of the Moonbabies liveshow. Also we would like to give a big salute to Henrik Hoffer (of Small Flowers Crack Concrete) for being a total ninja. We had such a fun time being on the road, and would especially like to thank a few people who graced our tour a bit extra: The guys of Xbloome in Wien, The elderly man dancing and helping us out in Innsbruck, The guy who gave me the receipt for the perfect Knödel which I'm sure will come handy, M&M (Michael and Michael) for all the nice things you did for us in St. Gallen, The excellent support band Computer from Hamburg, the hardworking soundguy & crew in Münster, John McEntire (For lending us his kit) and the rest of Sea & Cake and The Zincs, Sonny and the girl who did the lights at Molotow, Sören of V2 & Ralf (& André) of 2fortheroad. Thanks guys!
Soon we'll put up some live clips Henrik secretly filmed of our shows on youtube. In the meanwhile here's a bunch of photos from the tour.
At last we'd like to thank the greatest audience I guess we've ever had, Moonbabies will come back to Germany next year. So see you soon! Schüß!

Hello Good People, wie geht es Ihnen? I'm on a high, just back from a Moonbabies show at Malmöfestivalen, which went absolutely brilliant. We're thrilled over the fact that our newest album "Moonbabies at the Ballroom" (V2) will be released in Germany/Austria/Swizerland om the 31 of August. In October/November we'll go on tour in G/A/S, and we simply can't wait! Dates and venue info coming up in a couple of weeks. Check out the nice e-card (which you can pass along to your friends).
Videoshoot in Orlando, FL
2007-07-18
Greetings Good People! Back in Sweden. We had a blast shooting the video for "Take me to the Ballroom" at the Ballroom at Church Street, downtown Orlando, Florida. We don't want to give away the plot in advance, so you'll just have to wait. Although we can already tell you the video is brilliant, we've seen a rough cut and it sure is!
The much talented directors Eric Althin & Shannon Henegan of Zombieduck Productions (check out: www.zombieduck.tv ) did an incredible job making this video happen, and we just can't stop admiring their unstoppable imagination. You both are Ninjas and great friends forever! These are the same people who directed and produced the "War on Sound" video, which by the way just won the prize for Best Music Video at the Las Vegas International Film Festival.
We'd also like to thank all the people involved in the production of the video, the extras, the actors and dancers. You all were wonderful! As planned the "Take me to the Ballroom" video & single will be released in late August, so stay tuned. |
